How to report something or someone
If you see content that appears to be inappropriate, you can report to YouTube with a relevant reason. To do this:
- Use the three dots to the top right of the video. Then click or tap ‘Report’, fill in the appropriate details and click or tap ‘Report’.
You can also report users' comments if you witness anything inappropriate or abusive.

YouTube controls for families
As younger viewers may want to use YouTube for its instant content. Having controls to help protect them from seeing things that are inappropriate or not intended for this audience. To do this you will need a Google account for your child. To do this you’ll need to visit accounts.google.com/signup then follow the instructions provided in this YouTube Viewers guide.
