What is the Barclays Digital Wings?
The Barclays Digital Wings is an online learning tool designed to help you become more tech savvy and keep up-to-date on recent digital trends. It’s accessible from anywhere, by anyone, from any device.
You’ll cover a whole range of interesting and exciting topics, from internet basics and different software to advanced analytics and coding. Work your way through the modules, testing your knowledge and earning points as you go, to achieve your very own Barclays Digital Wings Open Badges.
Who is it for?
There is something for everyone in the Barclays Digital Wings. So, whether you’re 16 or 116(!) you’ll find loads of interesting information that will come in handy in your daily life!

How can I access the Barclays Digital Wings?
You can access the Barclays Digital Wings online at digital.wings.uk.barclays from any device, or via our Barclays Digital Wings App.

Alternatively – save the Barclays Digital Wings tile icon to your homepage on your mobile or tablet.
How you do this will depend on the type of device and browser you’re using but here’s two popular examples:
iPhone using Safari browser:
Click on the icon at the bottom of your browser window and then click the ‘Add to home screen’ icon.
Android phone using Google Chrome browser:
Click on the icon at the top of your browser window and then click the ‘Add to home screen’ icon.
Please follow the steps appropriate to the browser if using something different from those specified above.
How can I register?
Once you’ve accessed the Barclays Digital Wings by one of the methods above, simply click on the ‘Sign Up’ button, enter the required information (full name, date of birth, email address and location) and create a new password.
Now you’re registered, simply log in using your email address and password.
Working through the Barclays Digital Wings
I’ve registered, now how do I get started learning?
You can start your learning with any module and complete them in any order you choose. To get started, decide on a module you like the look of and click the module title.
Each module will have an upfront pre-knowledge check quiz to test your existing knowledge of the various chapters that sit within the module. This will be in the form of five questions per chapter in a multiple choice format. Users will be required to obtain a pass mark of 75% for each of the chapters. If you don’t pass first time, don’t worry, you’ll just be prompted to explore the relevant learning before you can re-take the test.
Alternatively if you want to jump straight into the learning just click on the ‘Take me to the knowledge bank’, this way you can brush up on your knowledge before attempting the quiz.
Points are collected whenever you complete a knowledge check quiz. Each question presented will have a countdown timer in the corner of the screen. Users will score points based on the time it takes to successfully answer each question. The maximum points available for each question are 40 and, the minimum is 20 points. For each chapter that you attain 75% you will be awarded 160 bonus chapter points.
What happens if I don’t achieve the pass mark?
If you don’t pass first time, don’t worry, you’ll just be prompted to explore the relevant learning before you can take re-take the knowledge test. Once you've completed all the learning from the chapters which you didn’t pass, you’ll be able to re-take the knowledge check.
If you don’t manage to pass for a second time or more, you’ll be able to re-take the knowledge check straight away. Take your time though, work your way through the content until you’re comfortable, and then re-take the quiz!
The company code field enables companies associated to the Barclays Digital Wings, and who have had conversations with their Supplier Managers to offer this code to their staff and tailor it and make it unique to the company involved. Please note this is an optional field.
Earning your badges…
Once you have successfully completed any module, you have the option to upload a module badge into a Mozilla backpack. This will therefore enable you to upload these badges on LinkedIn or Facebook.
Is there a limit on how many times I can take the knowledge checks?
No, there is no limit on how many times you can take the knowledge check quizzes. Take your time to work your way through the content until you’re comfortable, then re-take the quiz. Even if you had passed previously, you have the opportunity to go back and score more points if you can complete the challenge in less time. Good luck!
What happens if I lose connection during a knowledge check?
Unfortunately, if you lose connection or exit the app during a knowledge check quiz your answers will not be saved as there isn’t a book marking facility. You’ll have to restart the quiz once you’ve re-established your connection.
How do I track my progress?
Once you’ve logged in you will be able to see your profile’s interactive progress board. Here you will be able to see your overall progress, as well as a detailed breakdown of your progress through the modules.
I’ve forgotten my password, what do I do?
If you’ve forgotten your password please click on the ‘forgotten password’ link that is just under the log in section. You will then be emailed a link to follow to reset your password.
I’m having problems registering…
If you’re having problems registering, please make sure you’re using a current and valid email address. The registration page is not case sensitive, except for password, so you should be able to input all of your details in lower or upper case should you wish.
My username is not recognised?
If you are having trouble entering your username (email address), remember that it is case sensitive. When you registered for the Barclays Digital Wings, the email address provided in that format is picked up as your username including errors with spelling. If you are having trouble with your username, do not worry, and more importantly, do not create a new account. Email the Barclays Digital Wings team and they can specify the exact email address that is registered under your name.
I’ve lost my points, what’s happened?
You should not experience problems with missing points, however if you need to re-register using a new email address your information will not be automatically transferred across.
If you need any points transferring across to a different account, providing the account is in the same name we can do that for you. All you need to do is contact us by email. This email will come into one of the team and we will look into that for you.
As we work to improve the Barclays Digital Wings, we may occasionally need to make changes to the points scoring system. If this is the case, we’ll let you know well in advance so you are fully aware of the changes we’re making and why.
My Barclays Digital Wings app has stopped working…
If for some reason the app does not seem to be working, please uninstall and then reinstall from the relevant App store. Don’t worry you won’t lose your points; you’ll simply need to log back in using your original email address and password once reinstalled.
If the problem persists, please log on to the Barclays Digital Wings via digital.wings.uk.barclays and use the contact form. Please provide as much detail on the problem as you can, as well as your contact details and we will look into it for you.
The videos don’t seem to be working?
All videos may require time to buffer before they can play so please check that you have a strong internet connection.
Will user need some sort of media plug in to watch certain videos?
All videos have been created and coded with a view to being played on any device. Users should not experience any problems watching any of the videos.
